The experience of PAIN involves not only the physical, but also the emotional and social aspects, which means that treating it correctly is one of the greatest therapeutic challenges today; it involves a comprehensive biopsychosocial approach, centered on each person, which encourages the active participation of the patient and implements active coping strategies and promotes self-care.
An important aspect of this approach must include informing and educating our patients in order to "address" erroneous beliefs, the culture of fatalism and other educational deficiencies that empower patients, families and caregivers in addressing their needs.
For this reason, we have created SEDALUX BLOCKBUSTER, an innovative platform for the dissemination and diffusion of information with a social educational function for the promotion of health.
What is Sedalux Blockbuster?
A socio-educational intervention platform that will use the power of film and TV to educate and raise awareness about anesthesia, pain and the world around it.
Through fragments of films, series and documentaries, we generate debates and encourage critical thinking, promoting a dynamic and participatory learning.
Our mision: Educate
Changing the way our profession and pain management is perceived. Despite being a very common problem, pain and anesthesia are a totally unknown world to society. And that has to change. Because "resolving doubts is also therapeutic".
Our approach: More attractive and accessible
This intervention will be carried out through EDUTAINTMENT, a novel educational methodology that combines education and entertainment in the teaching-learning process, whose formative purpose seeks to "educate and, at the same time, entertain".
We have considered the use of social networks because they promote interaction and social learning, help the construction of knowledge to take place in a dynamic, active and participatory way, allowing the population to develop critical thinking of the reality that surrounds us.
Join the discussion
At Sedalux Blockbuster, we believe in the importance of sharing and discussing different knowledge, opinions and perspectives on the world of pain. Therefore, we will select and analyze, from a clinical and professional perspective, clips from movies, series, documentaries, animation or cartoon, TV programs, etc. in order to raise questions, generate debate and encourage a deeper and more critical understanding of pain.
